An overview of one of O'Connors Glens of Antrim Irish Celtic Bodhrán drum tipper beater sticks in Blackthorn.  Blackthorn is a very durable material with lots of markings due to the thorny nature of this bush.  All O'Connors Bodhrán drum tippers are made by an Irish craftsman and player with a love for the materials and resultant tipper.  O'Connors do a range of fine wood tippers but love the character from wild and natural materials personally collected with their inherent markings and character.  Check out the Blackthorn Bodhran Drum Tippers at oconnorsirishcrafts.com

O'Connors Irish Bodhran Drum Tipper Beater in Dartmoor Gorse Wood

oconnorsirishcrafts.com

An overview of one of O'Connors favourite materials for Irish Celtic bodhran drum tipper beater sticks - Dartmoor Gorse of Furze wood.  An O'Connors Bodhran tipper in Dartmoor Gorse is full of character with many pockmarks and gouges.  We find these particularly appealing and a marked contrast to a more refined wood tipper.  This one is a beauty and has been stabilised then treated with linseed oil and beeswax.  Despite it's looks it is sturdy and very smooth to the touch so will not damage your Irish Bodhrán drum.  This one we have named the 'Scar'!  You can buy or take a look at more Dartmoor Gorse tippers at oconnorsirishcrafts.com

O'Connors London Plane / Lacewood Irish Bodhran Tipper Beater stick
O'Connors Bodhran Tipper Beater Stick in 'Plane' Lacewood.  Plane tree is a hybrid tree often planted in towns and cities. The wood is hard, with a close grain and is light brown in colour. There are numerous rays that are very conspicuous and decorative, known as Lacewood.  No one can accuse Plane of being plain!  High Strength properties similar to that of Oak.

The O'Connors Irish Celtic Bodhran tipper in this London Plane Lacewood is exceptionally attractive as well as practical due to it's strength.  Visit O'Connors Irish Crafts Bodhran Tipper / Beater section for this and a whole range of other Irish Tippers.

All O'Connors Bodhran Tippers are made by an Irish Craftsman from Antrim Ireland.

O'Connors Irish Celtic Bodhran Drum Tippers

Irish Celtic Bodhran Tipper Sticks collection
O'Connors Black Palmira & London Plane Tippers

O'Connors Irish Crafts specialize in the O'Connors range of Irish Celtic Bodhran Tipper beater sticks.  These Bodhran Tippers are offered in Glens of antrim Irish Blackthorn, very popular with our American Customers.   They also have Irish Bodhran Tippers in Ash, Beech, spalted beech, hazel, birch, london plane, zebrano, black palmira walnut and Dartmoor Gorse wood Irish Bodhran Tippers.

Some of these Irish tippers are very striking looking for example the light and dark hardwood quartered 'Copperhead' Bodhran tippers.  Not only does the contrasting wood look great but the Copperhead adds a real touch of quality.  The copperhead is not only for contrat but is also practical providing a balanaced weight at each end which some players prefer.

We are very proud of the O'Connors Dartmoor Gorse wood tippers also known as furze of whin.  Gorse has a very knarly texture with varied colours and pockmarks which make them distinctive.

O'Connors make exotic wood Bodhran tippers from the likes of African Zebrano and black palmira with very striking patterns in the grain.

Not content with the much loved and traditional wooden Bodhran tippers O'Connnors also make a very beautiful contemporary acrylic tipper finished in a beautiful crimson red acrylic pattern with rich, shimmering, translucent colours.

Whichever Irish Bodhran tipper beater stick suits your style we are sure to have one for you.

All our tippers are made by an Irish Craftsman.  https://oconnorsirishcrafts.com/collections/bodhran-tipper
